So you’ve written a story.
That’s great news! We’re delighted!
Before you send your story to us there are a couple of things you should know.
All stories need to be a minimum of 50,000 words (we make an exception for children’s stories).
We accept all genres of fiction and non-fiction but if you write poetry, short stories or erotica then we’re not the right publisher for you.
There are other publishers out there who we’re sure would like to take you on.
If you would like to know more about the publishing process, you can check out our Publishing Processes video to find out a bit more about how we work at Salad Pages.
There are a couple of things we’ll need from you.
You don’t have to send us your whole story right now. Just the first three chapters so we can get a flavour of the story and your writing style. You can upload this as a word document or PDF format using the Submissions Form.
We’d also like a synopsis of your story so that we can understand the twists and turns of your plot (no more than 1000 words please).
And finally, a covering letter. You can write this in the message field of the Submissions Form. Let us know some interesting things about you. We’d love to know more about who you are and who we will be working with. We won’t judge you from your covering letter or make any presumptions about your story.
Building a relationship with you is important to us – you would be joining the Salad Pages family after all!
There are some other small bits of information we need to know too. They’re all in the Submissions Form and won’t take you long to deal with.
